Ruled by God’s Word

…The tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body and setteth on fire the course of nature… (James 3:5-6).

If you’re faced with a challenge that seems insurmountable, the emphatic statement of Jesus in Mark 11:23 is the solution you need. It says, “…whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” During His earthly ministry, the Lord Jesus proved this; He displayed absolute mastery over the circumstances of life, including the forces of nature. He made us realize that we could talk to anything, influence anything, and effect changes with our words.

Jesus wasn’t talking figuratively when He said, “…whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” He was showing us the efficacy of our words. We rule by words, as our words rule us. Your words determine the quality of your life Chris Oyakhilome.

It doesn’t matter what situation or circumstance in which you’ve found yourself; you can effect changes with your words! Recall how the tongue is described in our opening text; it’s called a fire. That means with your words you can burn up everything in your life and in your path that is inconsistent with the perfect will of God.

Your words rule your life; never forget it. Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” It’s your responsibility to keep yourself in the triumphant life by speaking creative words of faith.

Security Facilitation Services For Legal Sector – Law Not War

Globalization like marriage has been a celebration of closeness followed by the dispute. No longer are attorneys just expected to fly in and out of European countries for arbitration sessions. It is becoming far more common that attorneys are asked to travel to high-risk environments to act on behalf of their client or collect evidence to build their case. Historically large law firms in London have told me that ‘they’ve not had any trouble before’ or ‘it’s not for long and they are in a nice hotel’. I expect that these are the individuals that are less proactive and instead accept what is presented to them rather than seeking new evidence from unlikely sources Intelligence services.

Low Profile Security, Enabling Operations

Thankfully these attitudes are now changing. Interestingly, not because terror attacks are now commonplace in our airports and theaters or because Corporate Social Responsibility is no longer considered the chime of libertarianism but because the world has become a smaller place. Attorneys find themselves far more aware of the evidence troves that exist and how to obtain them. They have also become far more aware (as have their insurers) that threats exist to travelers seeking to stick their nose in where it’s not wanted. Now more than ever we hear in the news of large organizations, wealth funds, and politicians thrust into the international limelight under accusations of corruption. The success or failure of a case can not only affect the participants but the geopolitics of the entire region. Naturally, it serves some to have investigating attorneys hindered in their efforts to construct a case. However, attorneys tend to be less intimidated and far more stubborn.

Attorneys are now identifying the need for case facilitation services to gain the evidential edge, whilst knowing their opponent is behind a desk in New York on Google. Some have seen the worth in traveling to the corner of a refugee camp in Irbil to trace a witness that can bring credible and verifiable evidence to an international tribunal considering War Crimes.

A natural fit in these situations comes from the former Special Forces operators. Operators cost millions to train, but it is only then that they start to learn. Their experience to facilitate travel through high-risk environments securely and without fanfare is unique and often an understated bridge to justice. A recent example of this evidential edge was well demonstrated when an expert was flown into an African capital experiencing the aftermath of a terror attack. The case hinged on analysis of data stored in the country and the case timelines were immovable. The expert, chaperoned by an operator, was able to conduct discrete forensic data recovery preventing the destruction of information, and ultimately securing evidence critical to the case.

Obtaining Evidence Efficiently

Operators have been at the vanguard of liaison with local partners for many years. The examples of Freddie Spencer Chapman’s movements behind enemy lines in Malaya to the operators fighting alongside the Peshmerga to clear Mosul as I write demonstrates the operator’s ability to move in foreign lands with respect and efficiency. This is hugely advantageous to those seeking new evidence.

Getting the Job Done

High threat environments should not be a barrier to justice. The days of crew cuts, dark sunglasses and blacked out Humvees are no longer necessary and are in most instances, inappropriate. Low profile, discrete and respectful; the operator has proven to be a powerful enabler. A conscientious operator able to read the environment, whose existence has been honed to get the job done without celebration, is a formidable ally to the traveling attorney.

Quintel Intelligence Ltd and ETS Risk Management Inc have formed an alliance to better meet the needs of the legal sector. By blending their Intelligence services and physical security capabilities they offer a global service for case facilitation services with successful investigations conducted in Europe, North and South America, and Africa.  View More

Tips to Choose the Best Calabasas Pool Remodeling Service

Have renovation in mind?

There is a saying in the renovation industry, “Renovation is like a box of chocolates, you don’t always know what you are going to get.”

And it only adds to the problem, that the scheduled upkeep of our swimming pools is often one of the last things which come to our minds. A luxury; seldom appreciated, often misused.

It is for the same reason that when you do decide to spend on the upkeep of your pool, it has to be a calculated and meticulous decision.

We know it may seem a little overwhelming and frightening at first, but trust us; a well thought out plan is going to save you hundreds of your hard-earned dollars.

Before we dive into the finer details, first let us understand the various instances when and why your pool may need renovation.

You Notice a Gradual Drop in Water Level

There could be several factors contributing to the fall of the water level. Your pool probably has its floor tiles eroded. This means that the tiles which were supposed to act as a barrier between the water volume and the ever so thirsty ground, have given away to erosion.

Water Could Be Slowly Seeping Into the Earth.

Another possible reason for this could be a faulty plumbing leaking somewhere. If such is the case, then no, a simple water sealant won’t fix it. You need to call in the professionals.

The Floor’s Friction Has Reduced

Although contrary to popular belief, that eventually the floor erodes and feels rougher to the touch, a fault in the filter and pumping mechanism can lead to sediment deposition on the floor, and render the floor texture slippery.

Why should this be a matter of concern? It is because sediments encourage the growth of the slimy mess on the floor. This poses a two-fold threat.

A floor that is difficult to stand upon and a greenish tint in the pool waters.

It Feels Outdated and Defunct

With the exponential increment in technology and designs, it is quite normal to feel that your pool is already dated even if it is just a few years old.

That, or the fact that old plumbing and pumps would be better off with a replacement after years of service.

You would definitely not want your pool to stick out as a sore thumb in your beautiful garden parties and celebrations, would you?

The Plumbing Has Worn Out

Sometimes, even if we are up to date with the maintenance of the pool and its equipment, it is possible for a few components to give away after prolonged use.

Plumbing is one such part of the pool. A vital component which renders the pool inoperative eventually if not corrected instantly.

How does one know if plumbing is at fault? For starters, you notice that it takes longer for the pool to refill. A reduction in water level could also be pointing at a leaking pipe in the structure which needs immediate attention.

It Is Simply Dreary

We would suggest you go for renovation if you feel that the act of spending time outdoors in the pool has become monotonous.

Perhaps you could add a water slide for kids, or a ramp for adults to jump from.

These simple additions would help a lot in turning the ambiance up a notch.

Pool Remodeling

A Few Ideas You Could Consider for Renovation

Fountains and Falls

Like we said, no one wants a fun activity to become monotonous. Adding something as simple as a fountain, or a shiny new slide goes a long way to add to the mood.

Change or Add Some Nightlight

You must have noticed in many Hollywood movies that how picturesque the pool, which is lighted properly, look at night.

Some small LED lights beneath the surface of the water, or on the side walls, truly add to the beautiful atmosphere near a Calabasas pool remodeling.

A night swim with a glass of champagne will never be the same again!

Modify the Shape and Add Beautiful Designs

Perhaps when remodeling, you could shape it like an 8. Or you could strip away the old obsolete tiles and replace them with exciting new designs.

How about adding a few plastic animals here and there? You may notice that kids suddenly seem too eager to swim and play around the pool. We recommend experimenting with various looks.

And Finally, Picking the Right Remodeling Company

Does the Company Have a Good Track Record?

We have seen many people spend their precious and hard-earned money on shady contractors who have bad or no track record. It is always prudent to perform a background check on the said company. You could ask around town, or enquire from your friends who already have a pool. It helps, always.

Are They Legitimate and Do They Have the Proper Clearance?

Unknown to the general population, it is fairly easy to fall prey to fraudulent contractors and agencies. It is always best to seek agencies which have the membership of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, and whose technicians are CPO certified.

This ensures prompt and quality service as you have a governing body to complain or fall back on.

Do They Cater to Your Needs and Have the Desired Expertise?

If the company that you are planning to hire is incapable of implementing your choices and designs, it is always better to move on and pick out another, than trying to negotiate a middle road. Sift through their history for any grievances from past employers, and this will give you a clue as to whether they fit the bill or not.

Yay, She’s Had The Baby!

Yay, She’s Had The Baby!

Apologies for not being around recently but we’ve had one heck of a couple of weeks!

My oldest daughter Helena had just finished decorating the baby’s nursery when the midwife came to the house and said they’d probably induce her around 37 weeks because of her high blood pressure. However after numerous weeks of going to and from the maternity unit, her waters broke in the middle of the night at 34 weeks pregnant. By the time they examined her she was already 8 cms dilated and the hypnobirthing techniques she learned helped her do the whole labour without any pain relief!

Whilst all the hard work was being done in the labour ward at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, we were just starting the drive from Cardiff to Aberdeen! A long 11 hour haul but boy was it worth it.

Baby Dylan James rushed into the world on July 10th, 6 weeks early. The tiny little mite was rushed off to Special Care Baby Unit at the same time as Helena was rushed to theatre haemorrhaging. No time to pop the baby onto Mum’s chest, no time for a lazy first nuzzle at the breast. No time to wrap baby Dylan in his gorgeous new baby swaddle blanket, which was still tucked away in the unopened ‘hospital bag’ along with his sweet organic babygrow; It was a very worrying day for Dad Mik who spent the day going between the SCBU and Helena in the Recovery Ward. Helena wasn’t even allowed to see the baby until the evening as she was so poorly and had lost so much blood.

Dylan needed help with his breathing in the incubator and he needed a feeding tube with glucose too, Babies born so young haven’t got the suck/swallow/breathe reflex right so breastfeeding Dylan has taken a while to get established. He falls asleep after a few sucks so Helena has been expressing her milk too and he’s been getting some of it the lazy way, through a tube.Breastfeeding expert Sharon Trotter has given Helena some excellent advice on breastfeeding a premature baby. She’s also an expert in baby skincare and is the reason why Helena feels so passionately about buying organic cotton baby clothes!

This morning’s update on WhatsApp said he’d put on 40g and fed well all night. He’s been moved out of the ‘hot cot’ into a normal cot and is in a parents’ room in the SCBU. The hospital has been simply amazing and have a special room for the parents and baby to sleep while they get used to the transition between hospital and home. It reassures the parents and means the medical staff can teach mum and dad what to do in the event of an emergency. Once all parties are happy with the situation, then the baby is usually discharged.

Helena has been through a tough 18 months but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so happy. Welcome to the world Baby Dylan and here’s to a happy life for this new family!
